Event terms and conditions

Costs incurred to the individual

1. Please seek the permission of your line manager before registering to attend the event.

2. The University of York will not be held liable for any costs incurred by you prior to a confirmed place being awarded.

3. The University of York will not be held liable for costs incurred due to circumstances outside of our control, such as transport delays, late changes in venue availability, or other unpredictable restrictions.

4. Delegates will be responsible for any travel and subsistence costs incurred up to the point of their arrival at the event venue, and for their return journey at the end of the event. 

Payment

5. All registration fees quoted are in £GBP and are not subject to VAT.

6. Registration fees and accommodation charges (where applicable) are payable in advance of the symposium.

7. Registration and accommodation is not confirmed until payment is made. Your registration will be acknowledged in writing.

Cancellation

8. Substitutions (from the same organisation only) may be made up to 48-hours prior to the start of the event, but it is essential that you immediately advise the event organisers of the name and details (including contact email) of the substitute. Please contact plant-biodesign-network@york.ac.uk and ensure that you have received a response.

9. In the event of a cancellation, please contact plant-biodesign-network@york.ac.uk immediately and ensure that you have received a response. Provided written notice is received no later than 14 days prior to the start of the event, a full refund will be given. It is regretted that cancellations after the 14 days prior cut-off deadline are not refundable.

Accessibility

10. We aim to make the symposium as accessible as possible to all. If you have any specific requirements, please include these on your registration form and we will do our best to assist you.

11. The symposium is fully catered. Please detail any allergies and dietary requirements on your registration form. Please note for specific dietary requirements the venue may not always be able to guarantee availability, but we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

Programme

12. Details of the programme are correct at the time of going to print. We reserve the right to change any session in the final programme.

Event feedback

13. We may contact you again in the future to discuss the impact of the event on your area of work and provide you with information about forthcoming events.
