You can apply for up to two Plant BioDesign projects (which can be at different universities).
We would advise you to read the questions in the form before submitting your application. Inside the form there is a link to a document for you to see the questions in advance.
If you have any questions about the application process, please email plant-biodesign-network@york.ac.uk
If you have questions about the project you are interested in, please email the project supervisor (details inside the project description).
Shortlisting will take place as soon as possible after the closing date and successful applicants will be invited to interview.
Interviews are held online. As part of the interview process, you will be asked to give a short presentation on a research project you've undertaken. Interview questions are provided to applicants before the interview, allowing preparation to demonstrate their full talent and potential.
These interview questions are developed to assess your scientific ability, understanding of the chosen subject, critical thinking, problem-solving ability, creativity, resilience, motivation, and research and leadership potential.
You will be notified of the outcome of the interview as soon as possible. If you are successful, you will be offered the opportunity to visit the host supervisor and institution.
